Join the Mobile Library in your neighborhood!

La Porte County Public Library offers mobile library service that carries books, movies, music, and more to customers in our area. Bookmobiles carry a wide variety of materials for all ages with an emphasis on entertainment DVDs and popular fiction and non-fiction for youth and adults. There are over 15 community stops around the city and county, so there’s one close to you. At the bookmobile, you can:

  • Check out audiobooks, books, CDs, DVDs,  and magazines
  • Get a library card
  • Pick up holds and return items – just like at the library
  • Staff can answer questions and help with a variety of needs
  • Update your account – change your address, pay a fine, etc.
